Plenty of companies promise forever. Here is what we do instead: hand you a complete copy of the archive, keep the site simple enough to last, and tell you straight which parts we haven't built yet.

Nothing to be locked out of
A memorial is plain web pages and ordinary files. No special software, no format only we can open.
Backed up every night
Everything written and uploaded is copied nightly, so a bad day for us is not a bad day for your family's story.
The floor
You already hold the copy.
Most of what makes a promise like this worth anything is not the promise. It's whether you need it.
So the first thing we do is give the archive back to you. Not at the end, and not if you ask nicely. When the memorial is built, you get the whole thing in files you can open on any computer, keep on a drive in a drawer, and hand to your kids.
If we were gone tomorrow, that copy would still open. That's the part we can be certain about, so it's the part we lead with.

The book
The whole life story as a PDF, printable, and readable in any PDF app for decades. It's the format libraries use for records they mean to keep.
The writing
Everything written, saved as text files any future tool can open.
The photos and video
Every original file, at full quality, exactly as you uploaded it.
No subscription keeps it alive and no login stands in front of it. It opens with or without us.
One rule follows from that. Nothing goes on a memorial that can't ride along in the export. If we can't hand it to you, we don't build it.
While we're here
What we do to keep it up.
A memorial is a set of plain, static pages. There's no database to fall over and no app to keep patched, which is deliberate. The simplest thing to keep online is also the most likely to still be online.
We keep the pages served, the photos and video in working order as file formats change, and a person on our US team you can write to. Everything you add is copied nightly.
Being straight with you
What we haven't built yet.
The goal is the one a headstone sets. A hundred years, and then longer.
We are not going to pretend that is solved, or that a young company can hand it to you. It may not be attainable at all. If it turns out to be, we intend to be the ones who work it out, and this page will show where we actually got to rather than what we meant to do. The way it gets done is money held somewhere we can't touch, by someone who isn't us, with terms in writing.
We haven't done that yet. Perdura is young. There's no trust, no escrow, no insurance policy, and no reserve. When there is, this page will say so, with the number and the date, and not a day before.
We could have written something vague here that sounded like money. We'd rather you knew exactly where we are, so that when we do say a number you have a reason to believe it.
How long we'll commit to keeping a site online, and what that commitment is worth in writing, is with a lawyer now. We'd rather answer that late than pick a number that sounds good.
No amount of money makes a company permanent. We'd rather say so than sell you forever.

It was handed to you when the memorial was built, in formats chosen to open in 2040 without our help. Nothing about that depends on us being here.

The site is simple to keep alive.
Plain pages need no database, no upgrades, and nobody working behind them day to day. That's a large part of why we build them this way.

We won't dress it up.
We can't promise you a company that lasts. We can promise the story is already in your hands, and we can tell you the truth about the rest.

Asked plainly, answered plainly.
Is there money set aside for my site?
Not yet, and we won't say otherwise. There is no reserve, no trust, and no escrow today. Setting money aside properly is what we're working toward, and this page will say so when it's real.
Why not promise the site will be up forever?
Because nobody can, and a company that says it is hoping you won't ask what's behind it. We'd rather hand you the archive and be honest about the rest.
What exactly do I get to keep?
The whole story as a printable PDF book, all of the writing as text files, and every original photo and video at full quality, in one download. Free, any time.
What does it cost?
Perdura is in public beta, and pricing comes in fall 2026. You can begin building now at no cost, and storing your funeral wishes and final arrangements stays free whether or not you ever build a memorial. When we set a price, it will be one price, once, with everything included and told to you before you start. Nothing to unlock later, and nothing ever sold to your visitors.
